Happy New Year’s Eve!! I still can’t believe how fast this year went by. And as soon as Thanksgiving hit and the holidays were in full swing, time flew even FASTER! And now, here we are, merely hours away from 2015. I always love reflecting back at the end of each year, and I thought it was also the perfect time to take a little look back to when Dwelling in Happiness started and take a peak at my top 10 posts!
But first, I have a little “speech,” if you will. While this blog is barely only 6 months old, I just want to say a humongous THANK YOU to every single one of you who come back and read my posts!! When I started Dwelling in Happiness, I had no idea what was going to happen when I hit “Publish” on my first post. I didn’t even think anyone would readย my blog let alone keep coming back and following me. I am beyond honored and am humbled at how wonderful and sweet you all are. I SO SO appreciate all your support and friendships. I can’t wait to see where my blog is headed in 2015, and I am so excited to continue getting to know all of you and making new friends!
Okay, and now, without further ado, here are my top 10 posts of 2014!ย
10. Simple Fall Gold-Dipped Leaf Bannerย
This little banner was incredibly simple, but so pretty spread out over our large living room mirror for our fall decor!
I had SO much fun throwing this shower for my cousin. It was a really unique theme, and ended up being so inexpensive to put together!
8. Whitewashed Coastal Pallet Mirror
This pallet mirror was one of my favorite projects to make. It was also my first pallet project! I was SO thrilled with the results! It’s my favorite piece in our master bedroom by far.
7. “Thankful” Tin Can Luminariesย
I was asked by the lovely ladies at Elizabeth Joan Designs to be a part of a Thanksgiving Blog Hop, and I came up with these cute tin can luminaries! They were a really fun craft to make, and looked so pretty at night all lit up!
6. Nursery Decor, on a Budget!
This was my very first post I ever published! It’s still one of my most pinned posts. Jade’s nursery was so fun to decorate, and I loved sharing how I did it all on a budget!
5. Bible Verse Advent Calendar
I had so much fun this Christmas putting together a new advent calendar for our little family. In fact, though Christmas may be over, it still hangs on our wall for now. ๐
I was SOOO excited when I was asked by Kendra from Joy in our Home to be a part of a Christmas Home Tour blog hop! I love decorating our house for Christmas, and it was so much fun showing it off in a little tour. If you visit, you can still see all 18 other blogger’s tours by clicking on their links, too! They are all beautiful!
3. Easy Rustic Arrow String Art
This little arrow string art is by far my MOST favorite project I’ve done this year! I was so excited to do it, and even more excited when I finished it! I haven’t had a chance to hang it on my wall yet with the holidays, but I have plans to redo my gallery wall and make a special spot especially for this!
2. Glamorously Girly Command Center
This little command centerย was definitely long overdue in our house. But, I gotta say, we are SO much more organized now that we have it! I’m quite proud of myself for actually using it, too. AND, isn’t it pretty?! ๐
1. Easy DIY Fall Decor: Basket Pumpkins
My most popular post to date were these cute little fall basket pumpkins I came up with! I had no idea they’d take off as they did, but I was so thrilled! It’s always fun posting something and wondering if anyone will even read it, only to have it be featured several times!
