Yesterday marked a special day for me. Dwelling in Happiness turned 1! That’s right, it was my one year “blogiversary.” It’s been SUCH a fun year, and I’m so excited for my second year and to see where Dwelling in Happiness goes.
But I must thank you, my readers, for all your support and encouragement along the way. I wouldn’t still be here if it weren’t for YOU! Blogging isn’t a solo thing; it’s a community of people helping and encouraging each other. You have no idea what it means to me that you take the time out of your busy lives to read what I have to write, and to see what I’m creating. I’m pretty sure I have THE best readers in all of Blogland. I’m so thankful for you all!
I also want to share with you HOW I started on this journey. A little over a year ago, I was throwing the idea around of starting a little blog. One day while browsing Pinterest, I found a pin for free home binder printables. I clicked on the pin and it took me to Just a girl and her Blog, where I came to learn that Abby was also a DIY home blogger. I started looking around and noticed her new ebook she had just written about how to start a blog. It was totally meant to be! I contacted Abby and asked her a few questions (and she so sweetly responded and helped tremendously!), and I then bought her e-book, now called Building a Framework: The Ultimate Blogging Handbook (affiliate link). In it, Abby shares ALL about how to start a blog. From what hosting companies to use to how to edit pictures to how to contact and work with brands, I learned the ins and outs of life in “Blogland.” I loved it! I soaked it up and applied it into Dwelling in Happiness. I’m pretty sure without her book, my hubby would still be my only reader. By default of course, since he’s also my “techie.” But I’m totally convinced her book has helped me gain lots of followers; more than I had ever hoped for! And one year later, I have Abby to thank!
So to “celebrate” Dwelling in Happiness turning 1 year, I thought it was time to do a little reader survey. Your thoughts are so important to me, and I value each and every one. I’m always striving to improve my blog, whether it be in my content, writing, or thinking process.
