Hi, friends! I love sentimental projects, and today’s is just that. My baby girl will only be little for so long, and I realized I had YET to get her handprint. Agh! SO, I made this adorable Wood Slice Family Handprint! Now I can look at it everyday and see my sweet girl’s little handprint on top of ours. These wood slice family handprints are also the perfect little gift for grandparents, or a Mother’s day/Father’s day gift coming up!

This is such a cute idea! I love that its on a tree slice, too! I have done the clay patty cakes with my kids, my mom did those when I was little, too… so it is neat to compare their hands to mine when I was little.

Thanks Carrie! We did clay when we were little too. Unfortunately one of ours broke as a kid, so I figured a wood slice can’t break! π I love to compare the sizes, too!
I love this idea Amanda. I am so sentimental. It would be great to have your child’s handprint along with the parents to compare the sizes later. This is such a great way to get the whole family involved.

Thanks, Bethany! We are totally sentimental too, and I just love seeing her tiny handprint! They grow too fast. π Thanks for stopping by, hope you’re having an awesome week!
This is totally adorable. I’ve been looking for something to give my sister and BIL as a new baby gift and this is going to be perfect. Thank you so much for sharing this at our Something to Talk About Link Party. We look forward to your posts each week. Hugs, Coco

Thank you, CoCo! This would be a perfect gift for your sister! They’ll definitely want to get that little baby’s handprint ASAP! That’s one thing we forgot to do when our little one was born. I wish we had! Thanks for stopping by! π
What a great idea! Love it!

Thank you, Rebekah! I can’t wait to compare Jade’s hand in a couple years! I wish they’d grow up slower! π Have a great week!
This is so sweet. I have my kids hand prints on a canvas and adore having them to see. I like the idea or it feeling more rustic with the tree trunk.

Thank you Emily! A canvas with their prints is a great idea. It’s so important to have those little prints to look back on! I wish I had gotten her handprint when she was smaller, but she was so squirmy I think it would have been impossible! π Hope you have a great night!
Such a sweet idea, Amanda! Perfect way to remember how small they once were!

This is such a cute (and easy) idea for a gift! The only hard part is getting small children to keep their hands still, right? Adorable!

Thanks, Jenny! Ha, you’re so right! Getting my little one to keep her hand steady and spread apart without moving it was quite the challenge. π But so glad we did! Hope you’re having a great week!
I have seen the hands on top of each other before, but I have never seen them on a slab of wood. Unique touch. Found you via the link up.
