Back when I found out I was pregnant with Jade, I started to try and rid all the chemicals in our house. I slowly transitioned into making my own laundry detergent, then an all-purpose cleaner. When Jade came along, I decided it was time to really get our family healthy, and really get all chemicals out of our house.
Enter: Young Living! I fell in love with Young Living several months ago, and it’s totally changed the way my family lives. I bought the Premium Starter Kit that comes with a diffuser (I diffuse different oils daily; I couldn’t go live it now!), 10 everyday essential oils that are totally versatile, and so much more! And, not only that, buying the kit allowed me to get all my oils each month for $24 off retail (find out how you can too!). Folks, this is huge. Essential oils (the real, 100% therapeutic grade ones like Young Living sells) are not cheap. This discount allows me to get several oils each month, and save! Not only do I make my own cleaners and household products with their essential oils, but now I make my own beauty products and even lotion and diaper rash cream for Jade. It feels SO great knowing we don’t have harsh and harmful chemicals in our house, and Jade can grow up in a clean and natural environment!
One essential oil that comes in the Premium Starter Kit is lavender. By far, this one is my favorite! Lavender is so incredibly wonderful and is used for tons of different things. We go through it so fast!
Because lavender has so many incredible uses, I’ve made life easy for you. After purchasing a Premium Starter Kit, you’ll be totally equipped with how to put your lavender oil to use with these 30 amazing ways to use lavender essential oil!

Guys, these aren’t even half the things you can do with lavender! You can also use lavender oil in cooking and baking. Just the other day I added a couple of drops to my banana bread dough, and it was delicious! (However, not all essential oils are edible. Due to lack of purity, 98% of essential oils sold should NOT be ingested. An edible essential oil will be labeled “therapeutic-grade” (such as Young Living oils) and have a “Supplement Facts” box on the label showing the nutritional value – do NOT use just any brand of essential oil for cooking/flavoring foods. Be sure to use pure oils from reliable sources, not synthetic scents or flavorings.)
If you started making just a few of these items that could replace store bought products, just think of all the chemicals you will have kept your family away from! Friends, let me tell you, for the health of your kiddos, pets, and everyone else, it’s worth it.
